I started with developing a logo for MindFreely. The branding style should be modern and simple for accessibility. Building from 'free' I wanted to represent this somehow through the symbolism of a bird in a more abstract way. After working through the iterations the mountain wing motif was approved . This design reflects the large obstacles faced when addressing mental health issues feeling like you are the start of a large uphill journey as well as stability, permeance and solidarity. The pastel colours and ombre are a soothing colour scheme that will continue throughout the UI.
The next step for creating digital assets requires a thorough design process to ensure that the final product is effective and meets the project objectives. This involves defining the project scope, conducting research and gathering inspiration, sketching and ideating, creating wireframes and prototypes, designing and developing, testing and iterating.

Through wireframe testing we revealed some patterns of how people browse the content. The home return path was unclear and resulted in the user following the path of recommended videos instead of by filter. Further search options need to be implemented in the future to categorize the content in a more effective way.

I sourced 3d illustrations that supported the modern feel and pastel colour scheme that are visually appealing, functional, and engaging for the target audience (20 - 45year olds). Through gaining more experience in Illustrator and Blender in the future I aim to be able to create my own custom 3d illustrations.

The video below is the MVP run through. I enjoyed creating the UI and branding that had a modern and happy design brief. The stock images are calm and balanced with a minimalist layout within the app. I think it really captured that peaceful positive tone alongside the pastel color scheme. Some challenges were just designing in minimalism, subtracting the unnecessary information and creating a clean user friendly platform just requires more experience. Since the prototype is in it's infancy it was also hard to not keep developing user pathways to make a more customized experience.
